The purpose of the simulation game is to provide you with an experience detailing the complexity, extensive reach, and impact of Change Management in organisations.
During the simulation, you will be presented with a realistic business case, consisting of various scenarios, choices, events, and Change Management best practice requirements that occur in a typical large project.
You will need to make decisions for each scenario to manage the change and complete the project successfully. Points will be awarded for each decision made based on the impact the decision will have once on the _____________
The comprehensive simulation will guide you through the various phases of the change management process, highlighting the differences in decisions, activities and behaviour required during each phase.
You will explore topics that include:
- Stakeholder management and participation across all levels (from strategic level to operational level),
- Strategic, tactical and operational planning,
- Managing change impact,
- Typical obstacles to change,
- The embedment of the change,
- Realising benefits, and
- Many more.
such as the importance of change management, the types of change, reasons for failure, and strategies for managing resistance. You’ll also gain insight into international standards, the impact of human behavior, and essential frameworks like the Cynefin model for navigating complex change scenarios. Each module includes knowledge checks to reinforce learning, ensuring that you understand how to implement these strategies effectively.
By the end of this course, you’ll have a clear understanding of the fundamentals that should be considered in leading change, the approach and key factors for success in developing strategies and plans, as well as managing resistance.
You will be required to watch a short video for each module and answer 6 multiple choice questions.
A pass rate of 80% is required to proceed to the next module (5 of the 6 questions must be answered correctly)
